Every week during the academic year, UPF invites guests to give lectures on diverse topics in both English and Swedish. The Lecture Committee is responsible for this work. Academics, diplomats, artists, journalists, politicians – from far and near. As a member, you will be able to attend all lectures at no cost.

Working with the Lecture Committee is a great opportunity to invite a lecturer that you admire, or otherwise find interesting. First, together with the committee you invite your guest. When your guest comes to Lund to give the lecture, you are UPF’s representative for the evening and get a good chance to establish contact and interact with the guest.

Notable past speakers include Kofi Annan, Jan EliassonMargot Wallström and Stina Lundberg Dabrowski.

We continuously accept new members. In order to join the committee, send a letter to lecture@upflund.se briefly introducing yourself (name, academic background, reasons for wanting to join etc.) and mention 1-3 lecturers that you’d like to see in Lund. We’ll contact you with more information soon after.
