Webzine

The Webzine committee is the online branch of The Perspective! Every year we publish many interesting articles about foreign affairs written by a group of wonderful writers. Anyone who wants to gain experience in writing or wants to use the writing skills that they already have can join the Webzine. Having an open and welcoming environment is very important to us and it means that our writers are a super diverse bunch!

Because our writers come from all over the world with different backgrounds their stories do too, and what topics they are interested in within foreign affairs varies greatly. For example, our article topics have ranged from ongoing struggles in Kashmir to covering the US-election, and from the conflicts in Syria to the history of nuclear tests on the Bahama Islands. We discuss our ideas for articles, breaking news, and upcoming events at our weekly meetings. These are always casual and fun and above all an excuse for us to have some fika together.

The Webzine Committee meets every Tuesday, 17-18 in the UPF Office.

Meet the Webzine Committee

Moa Gustafsson

Hello! My name is Moa, and I’m the co-head of the Webzine committee this year.

I live in Malmö, where I completed my bachelor’s degree in International Relations, and I’m now in my second year of the Master’s program Welfare Policies and Management, here in Lund. When I’m not studying or writing, I enjoy spending time with my friends, cooking, and going for walks. I also love to travel and visit new places!

My journey with UPF began in the autumn of 2024 when I started as a trustee for the Webzine Committee. I was drawn to this committee since it explores a wide range of foreign affairs-related topics while offering a creative outlet for journalistic writing.

If you are interested in writing and storytelling, come join us at our Tuesday meetings and share your ideas!

Maya Bukhory

Hi! My name is Maya, and together with my co-head, I am Editor-in-Chief of the Perspective Webzine. I have grown up in Gosport (England) and Eskilstuna (Sweden), but feel like I have found a middle ground here in the diverse environment of Lund and of UPF.

After spending a year studying Development Studies, I’ve now begun a bachelor’s in Peace and Conflict Studies—something that connects closely with my work at UPF. With a culturally mixed background and a strong interest in global politics, I quickly felt at home in the association when I joined autumn 2024. Last year, I was part of the Webzine team, writing articles and handling PR, and I came to love both the creative process of producing political media and the warm, collaborative atmosphere of the committee.

This year, I’m excited to continue building on that spirit. My hope is to strengthen the Webzine as both a platform and a community, a place where members feel inspired to explore new ideas and work together to produce quality articles!
