Pod & Radio
Within the Pod&Radio Committee, we produce live radio shows as well as podcasts revolving around foreign affairs. During this coming year we will broadcast live shows every other week where we mainly focus on the most recent international news and developments, however we will also have theme weeks focusing on specific subjects. For the podcasts, you are free to produce episodes about most anything regarding international affairs and we love to see diverse subjects. You can also choose either to make short shows about very different things or create longer series on the same subjects, we encourage either. This can be achieved by doing your own research on a topic or interviewing an expert. As a committee member, you are free to be as involved as you like in our productions; you can do everything or maybe you are a lover of editing and only wish to help others with polishing their recordings, or maybe you love the live shows and only wish to be a part of them. It is up to you and you are welcome with all input.

Meet the Pod & Radio Committee
Erika Clesi
Hej hej! My name is Erika Clesi, and I am thrilled to serve as this operational year’s Head of the Podcast and Radio Committee, as well as a Board Member of UPF.
I am from the United States and grew up in rural North Florida. In Florida, we have a saying: “the more ‘north’ you go, the more ‘south’ it gets.” That is because as you head north through Florida, you are getting closer to other Southern states. The towns tend to be smaller and more rural than bigger cities like Gainesville, Jacksonville, or Miami.
My prior experience includes working as a multimedia journalist for WUFT News, a National Public Radio member affiliate, where I produced and anchored live daily news broadcasts, wrote multimedia articles, and developed podcast episodes.
Most recently, I worked as a park ranger with the Florida Park Service and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. In the latter half of 2024, I was tasked with leading a crew in response to damage from Hurricane Helene, coordinating daily with government agencies and nonprofits to provide critical services and resources to disaster survivors. This experience led me to pursue an MSc in Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change Adaptation at Lund University.
If you have thoughts for a podcast episode, radio broadcast, or would simply like to get involved, feel free to reach out to me or my co-head, Hwi, at radio@upflund.se.

Hwikyung Lee
Hi, my name is Hwikyung, Hwi for short, and I am from South Korea. I am happy to be the head of the Pod&Radio Committee for the operational year 2025/2026. I turned 26 from 25 this year, what a coincidence!
I am a second-year master’s student in Global Studies, and I’m working as a research assistant at the Centre for Business and Development Studies in Copenhagen this semester. And I absolutely love the project I am currently involved in.
My goal in life is to make documentaries to shine a light on the dark or hidden sides of the world. Being involved in the Pod & Radio team is therefore a really great chance for learning how to do open discussions. Whether you want to debate, share an opinion, or just have a small talk, come to our Pod & Radio meetings. Are you just a good listener? Doesn’t matter, UPF has lots of yappers already!!
