This Monday we had the honour of welcoming Camila Freitas De Souza, Latin American interdisciplinary scholar and Ph.D. candidate at Lund university’s Human Rights Studies division, giving us an inspiring and in-depth talk about the women’s grassroots movement in Brazil. The lecture covered several grassroot movements and provided background into each one with inside stories providing an educative and thought-provoking lecture.
After the lecture there was an engaging Q&A session which the audience actively participated in. Questions like the future for the movements, their effect on society, and the societal view of them was brought up and discussed.
A big thank you to Camila Freitas De Souza for giving the lecture and to everyone who attended a participated!
