Lecture – Chinese Media Consumption: From Censorship to Influencers

Mar 17, 2025 | Event Recaps, Lecture

Last Thursday we had the honour of welcoming Filip Noubel, China Analyst at the Association of International Affairs in the Czech Republic and managing editor of global voices as well as spokesperson for Circle 19, to provide a lecture on Chinese-language media operates domestically and globally.

The lecture touched upon different aspects of China’s media landscape with focus on different actors as well as the day-to-day life in and outside of China. Following the lecture was an interactive and thought-provoking Q&A session which highlighted questions about the safety of journalists and the future of freedom of expression.

Thank you Filip Noubel, and our collaboration partners, the Centre for East and South-East Asian Studies and Raoul Wallenberg Differencemakers Lund for making the event possible.
